We Reap What We Sow

Galatians 6:7-10
"Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith."

God is not mocked. I take this to mean that no matter how deceived we are or other people are, we will reap what we sow. No matter how many people at church have no idea what is really going on, God still knows and He will not mocked. I will reap what I sow and you will reap what you sow. If we sow to the flesh then we will by the flesh reap corruption, not only eternally, but here and now as well. However, if we sow to the Spirit, which can only be done by the Spirit, then from the Spirit we will reap eternal life. One path is completely dependent on us and the other path is completely dependent on the Spirit. Will we choose to live by our flesh and by our own means or will we choose to allow God to work through us by His Spirit, so that the work done by the Spirit, for the Spirit, will reap eternal life by the Spirit. We also must not weary of this. We can't just live by the Spirit sometimes or just stop living by the Spirit one day and come back to it a few years from then. Living by the Spirit is a permanent surrending of our life, will, and desires to Him. So what does sowing by the Spirit look like? Doing good to everyone when we have the opportunity, especially those of the household of faith. For the glory of God and the good of all people. Amen (Let it be so)
